Vic & Laine’s wedding was not an ordinary wedding. This was the first surprise wedding that our team shot. The whole story on this wedding could be found HERE.
Its a new ball game for the crew. Everyone needed to listen to a “new” plan. Everyone was stead fast. On this wedding day our call time was a bit earlier than the usual since there was first a civil wedding. So while one team was at the civil wedding the other team was shooting wedding details and that was just the easy part. When the time came to break the surprise to the bride everyone was busy on the radio trying to get a hold of the bride’s location and knowing the exact E.T.A. Our radios crackle to life from a crew member following Laine. “5 minutes! 5 Minutes!” Everyone was checking their cameras setting. “1 minute!! Palabas na siya ng elevator!!”
A knock on the Door. And the first thing her eyes land on is her wedding gown. Chosen weeks ago, but under the impression that it was cancelled and returned to the tailor. Not knowing of the surprise in-store for her.
Goose bumps. Even our lights-man was teary eyed. To experience first hand the happiest moment of one bride was cloud 9. It gave us something more to work on. This was our day to day job. But today, it was different. It was special. We’ve shot more weddings than we can count. But this was something else. We always want the bride to feel special. With Laine, her magic was different. It was a surprise and the surprise lasted for the entire day.
Everyone reviewed the photos and video after the 30 sec surprise moment. We were still elated. Even minutes after, we were still feeling the energy. After the immediate shock and awe, it was back to regular wedding with one thing in mind. And it was not to tell the bride any wedding details.
Cheers to the groom for a successful surprise wedding.
